One of İzmir’s leading production and export centers and a destination for domestic and foreign capital investments, İzmir Free Zone hosted Zahid Tuncel, Unit Manager at the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Mehtap Arık, Head of the Evaluation, Implementation and Promotion Department at the Ministry of Trade Directorate General of Free Zones, and the accompanying delegation.

During the visit hosted by H. Gürsel Bahçıvancılar, General Manager of İZBAŞ İzmir Free Zone Founder and Operator Inc., the delegation was provided with comprehensive information on the investments planned and under construction in the Zone, as well as the stock of plots with completed infrastructure that are ready for investment.

Commenting on the visit, H. Gürsel Bahçıvancılar stated that the Zone is one of Türkiye’s leading production and export centers, with a production culture spanning more than 40 years and a strong industrial infrastructure.

PRIORITY: A STRONG INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT

Bahçıvancılar added that İZBAŞ continues its work with a proactive approach that considers investors’ changing needs and noted that they also informed Presidency and Ministry of Trade officials about the infrastructure investments to be carried out on the 153-thousand-square-meter land being prepared for allocation to investors as an expansion area.

Stating that their priority is to create a strong investment environment that supports participant companies’ competitiveness and increases their production and export activities, Gürsel Bahçıvancılar made the following assessment:

“While providing Mr. Zahid Tuncel and Ms. Mehtap Arık with detailed information about our work, we requested their support for the project to widen the road that provides our highway connection. As we continuously improve the infrastructure of our Zone, we are also working on projects that will pave the way for new investments.

By acting in strong communication and cooperation with our public authorities, we are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to carry out work that will create the highest level of value for the economy of our city and our country. We are pleased that our work is appreciated by our public institutions.”

The visit by the delegation, which also included Ahmet Toprak, İzmir Free Zone Manager at the Ministry of Trade, concluded with a site tour.
