111 Percent Increasement In Employement

İzmir Free Zone, which has been continuously growing in recent years, has managed to increase its trade volume by 50 percent in the first 4 months of this year. In the January-April period of last year, the trade volume was139 million dollars; the region reached 209 million dollars in the same period this year. In parallel with the trade volume, İzmir Free Zone has managed to increase its employment by 111 percent in 3 years with the contribution of newly established facilities. The president of the board Eyüp Sevimli emphasized that employment growth in the region is parallel to the trade volume and he said "In 2016, there were 658 people working in the region. Newly established facilities have a large share in both trade volume and employment increases."
