The 2025 Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of İZBAŞ İzmir Free Zone Founder and Operator Inc. was held. At the General Assembly, attended by a large number of our shareholders, Eyüp Sevimli, owner of Sevimli Deri and Chairman of the Aegean Region Leather Industrialists Association (EGE DERİDER), was unanimously re-elected Chairman of the Board. The İZBAŞ Board of Directors was also unanimously discharged with respect to its 2025 activities.
Speaking at the General Assembly, chaired by İZBAŞ Financial and Regulatory Advisor Prof. Dr. Keramettin Tezcan, Eyüp Sevimli stated that despite all the adverse conditions in the investment climate, discussions with many investors with domestic and foreign capital are continuing.
Sevimli said they are eagerly awaiting the commissioning and start of production this year at four factory investments whose foundations were laid in 2025. He also stated that work is continuing for the Ministry of Trade to officially grant free-zone status to the 153,000-square-meter land acquired as İZBAŞ’s expansion area.
